Literature Text

    You stared up at the ceiling, bored out of your mind. It was a Friday night, but somehow, nothing was happening at Stark Tower. Most of the Avengers were doing the exact same thing as you.
    You had been working and living with the bunch just as long as Thor, and maybe even Loki, whom you shared some interests with, but your home had been demolished and Loki had smashed through your bed room wall, landing on top of you in a crushing blow from his beefy brother during the attack on New York. You, like the rest of humanity, had never really forgiven Loki for trying to take over the world, or for destroying your house, even though your home was now the extravagant building Tony Stark had built and crowned the Avenger's HQ, or for breaking two of your ribs. They had healed just enough to not hurt anymore, though they still gave you trouble from time to time.
    Loki didn't mind your pain, though. He probably didn't even remember falling his big Asguardian ass on you, but that made you even more upset as you pondered who you would be able to pass the time with right now. Loki was probably spitting on kittens in his free time, you were quite sure, with his cold heart wanting to crush everything in sight with a clear enough conscience hanging over it.He also loved to mess with your head.
    That wasn't on your agenda,s o you switched gears and thought about Thor. He was probably in the kitchen, ransacking the place for more Poptarts, as you had assumed you'd all run out at any minute, leaving him irritable and unsatisfied. You considered going to the store and buying more for him.
    "Not a bad idea..." You muttered to yourself aloud. Moving on, you thought about Tony. He was most likely in one of his bars drowning his sorrows and whatever else at the bottom of a beer bottle, as he had a tendency to do. Clint was probably somewhere (probably in the living room) flirting with and getting smacked around by Natasha.Bruce and Steve, being the most human of you all, were probably doing normal things that normal people tended to do, like chatting or working out or something, despite their quite... different circumstances.
     You weighed your options for a while before ultimately deciding on the store. It was more of a way to get away from everyone and do something normal for once. As if you actually had a life outside of Stark Tower's walls, like a normal girl.
     You then hopped up happily and jumped into your bathroom, preparing to venture out into the world, or at least to the market to buy Poptarts.
     You sang the opening of Tangled, beginning in the bathroom. About fifteen minutes later, you came out of the bathroom and by now you had sung the entire tune three times, yet you still hadn't gotten tired of singing it. You sung lyrics as you acted accordingly.
     "And I'll brush and brush and brush and brush my hair, stuck in the same place I've always been." You tirelessly sung while you brushed out your beautiful, slightly messy (h/l), (h/c) hair.
     Little did you know, a certain God of Mishcheif's green eyes were focused on your unsuspecting being from your slightly adjar door.
     You looked at your reflection and stopped suddenly, cupping your face in your hands as your tune changed. You found yourself singing the lyrics to Lana Del Ray's 'Young and Beautiful' as thoughts swarmed in your head.
     "Will you still love me when I'm no longer young and beautiful? Will you still love me when I've got nothing but my aching soul?"
     The eyes of said Asguardian widened a fraction and then seemed to show evidence of a smirk or grin on the God's lips as the next lyrics sprung from your own.
     "I know you will. I know you will. I know you will~" You blinked, realizing your own sudden change of heart. You shook your head, trying to free it of those unwelcomed thoughts as you unseated yourself and finished dressing in silence. By this time, though you were still unaware of them, the eyes had gone from you, and you picked out your favorite outfit.
     You looked down at yourself in an Avengers T-shirt,( oddly, you loved to collect merchandise with the faces of your friends on them) black shorts covering half of your (s/c) legs, the other half, plainly adorned with long socks and (f/c) Converse. It was simple, but that's what you liked about it. You headed out in a newly found high spirit. You couldn't help but be sunny, as you were still going to be out in the world, at least for a while.
     Happily, you skipped into the main sitting room and looked around you, giggling as you saw that your predictions were, for the most part, accurate. It didn't surprise you though, because although your power was the abiltity to control things with your mind, your skills at predicting people's actions never failed you.
     Mostly because while you were an Avenger now, you used to be a secret agent, and those types of things came in handy. You had even had the priveledge of working with Nat in those past days, and she definitely made you aware of that. Though you had no personal connection with her then, she was your best friend now.
     Taking in the entire room, you saw Tony was at the end of a beer bottle sitting next to Thor, who was, like you thought, sulking and holding an empty  Poptart wrapper like a dead pet. Good thing you were going to get him more or you didn't think he'd last very much longer. You further enjoyed your surroundings as you found that Natasha was planted on the couch, flicking through the channels on Tony's flat screen T.V., occasionally smacking away Clint's hand, who was also on the couch, reaching to touch her over exposed chest in her low-cut t-shirt.
     Bruce and Steve were, not to any particular surprise of your own, ingaged in a somewhat interesting conversation about Steve's generation of America. You could tell that they were still just talking out of boredum. The only person left was....
     "Ugh." You scoffed at Loki who was seated on the arm of the chair closest to the elevator door, reading a book, paying no mind to the world outside of his head. You sighed before putting on a large grin and skipping to the elevator door, saying:
     "I'll be back, guys!" They all gave a low mumble in approval when the elevator door closed.
                        ~~~~~ Le time skip ~~~~~
     You loved how it felt to just be outside. The sun was barely peaking out of the clouds to gently grace your (s/c) skin. The wind was generous, softly tussling your (h/l) (h/c) locks with it's blow. You felt so alive as you arrived at the store and quickly searched for the breakfast aisle after scanning a feew other aisles for things you might need, while you were out.
     You looked down at the Poptart section blankly, you had forgotten to ask Thor his favorite flavor.
     "He likes this one." A familiar voice came from behind you as you heard something drop into your basket.
     Without looking, you sucked in air and just as easily breathed out, elbowing the man in the gut and bringing a knife to his throat.
     "Ah ah ah, darling." Loki whispered, hands up in surrender, pointing to a nearby camera.You slowly nodded and put your knife back where you had stored it before.
     "Well what's your excuse, Reindeer Games? Normal people don't just poof places when they want. And plus, what are you even  doing here? Outside? You know, the most hated man in America isn't just allowed to wander aimlessly around without being shot down." You said, slightly panicking at the thought of him being recognized. Loki sighed in relief, now smirking and grabbing you by the waist with one arm. He feigned an expression of offense, exclaiming:
     "Come now, darling, I am offended. I only walked here like any other 'human'." He said the word human as if he was not fully accustomed to saying it, which you knew him not to be. He turned you around to face him and smirked.
     "And besides, I do not think any one would mind my being around this New York of yours when I have come so low as to dress like this." He gestured to himself as you pryed yourself out of his grip. You took the chance to fully examine his attire. He was dressed in a slim fitting, green t-shirt, paired with black skinny jeans, Sperries and a black hat that partially covered his face. His black hair was curlier and instead of being slicked back, was all over his head with one eye being slightly covered. He looked hot. He actually worked that look like he owned it, and you felt your jaw drop. He cracked a laugh at this and you crossed your arms and pouted.
     "Why are you even here?" You muttered. Loki threw his arm over your shoulder and answered shortly.
     "Fresh air." He said, as sincere as his voice would allow.
     "Why do I not believe you?" You lifteed his arm off of you, sending it crashing back down to his side.
     "And besides," he ignored your question, hugging you from behind, resting his chin on your shoulder. "Who else would tell you my brot- Thor's favorite flavor of these beloved pastries of  his?"
     You gritted your teeth, then smirked and pushed him aside in protest.
     "How would you know, anyways? I doubt you even picked the right one-" You picked up the box from your basket and face palmed. 'Of course.' you thought. 'He loves this kind!' You threw the box back into your basket, along with a few more for good measure.
     "Um...mortal?" Loki called, his back to you.
     "What?" You growled, turning to him. He remained silent for a  while before turning to you and speaking up.
     "What is this?" He held up the box of tampons you had thrown in your basket before getting to the breakfast aisle.
     Your face turned a bright red as you snapped your head down and snatched the box from his hands with out a word. He just stared at you, confused, not that you could see it.
     "Hey, mortal? Is something the matter? You look awfully red, should I fetch something for you?"
     "Just leave me alone!" You quickly made your way down the aisle towards the register, as fast as you could, but of course, Loki was faster. You felt a cold hand intertwine with yours, stopping you from moving any further.
     "Now why would I do that?" He whispered softly, now holding you to his chest with a bit more sincerity in his tone than earlier.
     Your heart skipped a beat and you fell into his chest, shocked by his voice. He turned you around and pulled you into a gentle embrace, stroking your hair lovingly. You unconsciously hugged back, relaxing into his grip. You hated him with almost all your might at the moment, but for some reason, you could not bring yourself to pull away. You wanted him to be near you, and so, you invited his presence.
     There was no doubt in your mind that he was using some type of charm on you, but you stayed there for a while, Loki's body warmth calming you. He let go slowly. You then noticed the majority of the store staring at you, as they slowly began to go on about their business again. Loki grabbed your hand and led you to the register, but only then did the affects of the charm wear off, and you realized that he had just stopped you from making a scene in the middle of the store. You smiled, he was cunning and handsome, you would give him that. But you still hated his guts.
Those changes though.
A good deal added, and a few details taken away.
You make it sound more like a story then real life.
Is that what is going on here?
Its not bad.....not in the least.....you put those in there, the powers, past with Nat, description of Loki.....its good. But the powers and history much badassness. But I personally thinks its a bit much at the moment. Have everyone reading it figure out the powers in the fight like something big will fall reader-chan stops that but the cuts still happen with the glass. The past is cool, but (maybe too much, new at fanfics remember but still a writer for some time) maybe Loki and everyone would find out at the same time with with that being something to go with getting to know each other.
Hope I didn't spoil toooo much sorry if I did.
Is this the criticism you wanted?
Ik you already posted this but we could figure out how to interpret stuff later.
Like your thought process, even though it was only the paper before and this, let the potential flow.
I liked it though. GOOD JOB BABE! :iconthumbsplz:
p.s. Good chapter title
